Truck accidents: Woman dies after colliding with tractor-trailer

Large commercial vehicles are always present on the interstates and highways that wind across the state of Kentucky. Large trucks such as tractor-trailers are an economical, convenient and quick way to ship goods and merchandise throughout the United States. Unfortunately, these huge trucks can be very dangerous to motorists in smaller passenger vehicles. Since these trucks are so massive, any accident involving a tractor-trailer has a greater chance of being fatal. Truck accidents are responsible for thousands of deaths and injuries every year in America.

Two commercial vehicles were involved in a recent crash on a major traffic route in Louisville that claimed the life of a woman. The accident happened during the morning hours along Interstate 264 at Breckinridge Lane. Police said the crash involved three vehicles: a garbage truck, a minivan and a tractor-trailer.

According to reports, the three vehicles were headed east when the garbage truck collided with the rear of the van. Reportedly, the impact knocked the minivan into the rear of the tractor-trailer. Tragically, the driver of the minivan, a woman, died at the scene of the accident, authorities said. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt, according to police.

As the economy continues to expand, there will be even more commercial vehicles utilizing roadways across the state of Kentucky. Those who have suffered injury or loss due to negligence in truck accidents could benefit by seeking the services of an experienced legal representative. A lawsuit, if successful, could provide much-needed financial relief for struggling families.
