Meet Our Support Staff
Stephanie is the Executive Paralegal at TLF. Stephanie attended Morehead State University, graduating with a B.A. in Paralegal Studies and has been a with the firm since 1994. With over 25 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, Stephanie has a track record of strong performance in high-volume, high-pressure birth injury and medical malpractice cases, managing the executive duties, client relations, expert witness coordination and file organization and much more for her team at TLF. As an experienced litigation paralegal, Stephanie has been the lead trial paralegal in civil jury trials in Ohio, Kentucky and Federal Court.
Stephanie currently lives in Northern Kentucky with her husband, Jason, two teenage daughters, a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys time with her family and friends and watching her daughters play competitive soccer year round.
Michael joined TLF in 2013 after receiving a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of Cincinnati.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History from The Ohio State University. Michael then received his Master of Arts degree in 2011 from Miami University with a focus on how the legal system can have disproportionate effects on the populous. As a paralegal, Michael strives to bring this understanding and empathy to his work as an advocate for our clients. He primarily supports attorney Anne Gilday in representing individuals and families suffering from medical negligence, personal injury, defective products and pharmaceutical drugs.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with family, live music, traveling and hiking the U.S. National Parks. Michael lives on the westside of Cincinnati with his dog, Prince.
Karyn started with TLF in May of 2016 as the office manager. She re-joined the work force after taking a 12-year hiatus to stay home with her 3 children. Her role at TLF continues to evolve, but her passion to help others and grow the firm continue to be her top priority.
Prior to a busy family life, Karyn worked for The Limited Corporation in Columbus Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science in 1993 from The Ohio State University.
Karyn resides in Anderson Township with her husband Thom, their 3 kids, 2 cats and a bougie dog named Ginger. When she’s not working, Karyn enjoys a good baseball game, gardening, music, travel and spending time with family and friends.
Nicol Chasteen is a Legal Administrative Assistant here at TLF. She has been with TLF since July of 2016. Nicol does a little bit of everything at TLF, helping attorneys with various aspects of their cases. When she is not at work, Nicol enjoys spending her free time taking her children to their activities and spending time at Lake Cumberland with family and friends. Nicol is always willing to help – feel free to reach out to her with any questions.
Erin is a former Graphic Designer and Certified Yoga Instructor who took a leap of faith and joined TLF in February 2020 to start a new career. Erin began as the receptionist at TLF, but quickly took on additional duties, transitioning into the paralegal role as the need arose and employees began working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a paralegal, Erin brings compassion and empathy to TLF’s injured clients. Primarily supporting attorney Jennifer Lawrence, Erin takes initiative and anticipates the needs of others. Erin uses her graphic design experience to prepare creative and effective exhibits. She also uses her yoga experience to create a calm and mindful workspace.
Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Northern Kentucky University and is attending the University of Cincinnati to complete her Certificate in Law and Paralegal Studies. She grew up in the Northern Kentucky area and currently resides in Covington with her husband Justin, their cat Ned, and their dog Booker. Outside of work, Erin enjoys yoga and meditation, strength training, cooking and baking, and traveling.
Emily Butler Weaver
Emily started at TLF as the Accounting Manager in March of 2022. As the Accounting Manager, she does all things numbers to keep TLF financially sound.
Before arriving at TLF, and in addition to her position at TLF, she is a small business owner of Kid Kovers LLC, which she has run for 14 years. Philanthropically she volunteers at her parish as a member of the finance council, as the chair of her parish festival silent auction, and serves on the decorating committee. Her greatest loves are her 4 children, to be outside, to exercise, and spend time with her family and friends.
Tricia is a Registered Nurse who joined TLF in January 2022 as a Legal Nurse Consultant. She enjoys using her combined background in both medicine and writing to assist our injured clients. She brings experience from a variety of medical settings including Nurse Management, Pediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, Women’s Health, Orthopedics, Home Care, and Surgical Medicine.
Tricia earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She recently moved from Anderson Township where she and her husband raised four children who are now young adults. She and her husband currently live on a farm in Indiana where she spends her time outside of work hiking, gardening and caring for their menagerie of animals.
