Kara has devoted her practice solely to representing injury victims. Kara joined TLF in 2014 after graduating from law school. She represents people needlessly injured due to medical negligence, including birth injuries, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and other catastrophic injuries. She enjoys immersing herself in the medicine and science applicable to each case to challenge negligent medical providers and advocate for her clients. She has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Medical Malpractice, an award given to the top 2.5% of attorneys under age 40, since 2019. Kara has also successfully litigated and resolved cases on behalf of individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, and on behalf of pedestrians seriously injured by negligent drivers.

Kara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Kentucky, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 grade point average. Kara graduated magna cum laude from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. She was one of only two students in her graduating class to earn a Certificate for Excellence in Advocacy, which represents leadership skills and coursework emphasizing written and oral advocacy, pre-trial and trial skills, and alternative dispute resolution.

Outside the office, Kara is involved in several professional and volunteer activities. Kara is an Adjunct Professor at her alma mater, Chase College of Law, is a member of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association’s Board of Directors and is past Chair of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. She has served as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner in the City of Bellevue since 2021.

Kara is from the Lexington area and moved to Northern Kentucky to attend law school. She currently resides in Bellevue. Kara enjoys staying active through weightlifting. On weekends, she can often be found at local craft breweries with her shih tzu, Benson.
