Helpful information for those recovering after truck accidents

Tractor-trailers are massive pieces of machinery that are often seen speeding up and down Kentucky highways. It’s not a secret that driver fatigue, impaired driving, and negligence often cause truck accidents that result in serious injury to those involved. Sadly, many people do not survive the impacts of such horrendous collisions.

Interstate 75 was the scene of a recent truck accident. It was a Tuesday afternoon and the crash took place near mile marker 142. No information regarding the exact number of vehicles involved was provided. It is known, however, that one particular driver had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment following the crash.

The tractor-trailer apparently flipped over on the road. The driver had reportedly been hauling wood. The collision caused most of the load to spill onto the road. All lanes of traffic were shut down for several hours following the incident. It is not uncommon for fires to occur in these types of situations; in fact, motorists in the vicinity are often at risk for additional accidents in the moments after collisions like this one.

Recovery from injuries suffered in Kentucky truck accidents is often lengthy and financially expensive. If another person’s negligence is determined to have been a causal factor in a victim’s injuries, there is no reason the injured party should be responsible for expenses associated with the crash. To offset such costs, a personal injury attorney can help a recovering victim file a claim in civil court against any and all parties identified as possible liable sources.
