Long-time TLF Nurse Attorney will transition to an Of Counsel role
Congratulations to our colleague and friend, Jill Gustafson, on her retirement!
It is hard to put into words what Jill has meant to our firm, to her clients, and to all of us who have had the privilege to work alongside her.
Jill started her professional life as a nurse, caring for patients at the bedside. When she became a lawyer, she never stopped being a nurse at heart. For the past 35 years at The Lawrence Firm, Jill has carried that same compassion and patient advocacy into the legal arena, standing up for those who were catastrophically injured by medical negligence. She has been a voice for the most vulnerable children and families and she has done it with grace, determination, and a steady sense of purpose.
Those of us who know Jill admire not just her legal skill, but her kindness, her wit, and the way she made every client feel heard and cared for. She has also given so much of her time and talent to the broader legal community through AAJ, OAJ, KJA, the Ohio Court of Claims, and her service on the OAJ Board of Trustees.
Outside of the office, Jill is a devoted mom and a proud Ohio State Buckeye, never shy about reminding us where her loyalties lie on game day!
Jill, thank you for showing us what it means to be both a fierce advocate and a compassionate colleague. We will miss your presence in the office every day, but we celebrate with you as you step into this next chapter. Congratulations on a remarkable career, and best wishes for a long, happy retirement filled with family, friends, pups, and plenty of Ohio State football! We are excited for your next Chapter and for your willingness to continue to serve our clients as Of Counsel!
