Lawrence, Esq. has been recognized by both Super Lawyers of Ohio and Super Lawyers of Kentucky as being in the top 50 lawyers in both states. Richard D. Lawrence, Esq. has been recognized for the 10th consecutive year by Best Lawyers in America. For the last 25 years, he has been named in Strathmore's Who's Who in the area of Law. He continues to concentrate his practice on helping people with catastrophic injuries. Richard D. Lawrence, Esq. is a board member of the Navy Wings, an organization that raises money for children of Navy pilots that have been killed or injured in the line of duty. He also serves as an advisory member of the Board of Visitors of Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Jennifer L. Lawrence, Esq., Patrick J. Beirne, Esq., and Robert D. Lewis, Esq. have been recognized as 2007 Rising Star attorneys in the State of Ohio in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. Jennifer L. Lawrence, Esq. has recently been named in Strathmore's Who's Who in the area of Law. Thomas C. Korbee, Esq. has relocated to Louisville, Kentucky as to better serve our clients in the Lexington and Louisville areas. He continues to concentrate his practice in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and labor relations. Jill Gustafson, R.N., Esq., a registered nurse and an attorney, has been named 2007 Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Institute. She continues to concentrate her practice in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury. Anne Gilday, Esq. is a member of the Women's Section of the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. She continues to concentrate her practice in medical malpractice and domestic relations. Tim Davis, a 2007 graduate of Salmon P. Chase College of Law, is publishing a law review article in the Pierce Law Review entitled, Beyond the Cat's Paw: An Argument for the "Substantially Influences" Standard for Title VII and ADEA Liability. The article focuses on Cat's Paw discrimination which occurs when an employer is held liable for an employee's reported discrimination against a co-worker. Lindsay A. Lawrence, a law clerk with the firm, has earned a place on the Moot Court Team and the Chase National Trial Advocacy Team at Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Patrick Healy, a law clerk with the firm, has earned a place on the Chase National Trial Advocacy Team at Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Travis Mayo, a third-year law student at Salmon P. Chase College of Law, has been elected to serve as an SBA Representative for each of those three years. As an SBA Representative, Travis has served as the Community Service chairperson, organizing and managing fundraising events for the SBA and NKU, and he is currently the Elections Committee chairperson in charge of SBA and Chase Honor Council elections. He is also involved with the American Constitution Society and was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2007 semester. Recently, The Lawrence Firm has successfully concluded cases and helped families whose child suffered a brain injury at birth, who have been injured in an automobile accident, whose mother and wife received an overdose of radiation, whose family lost a child at child at birth, and a mother and wife that died as a result of the delay in diagnosing infection after surgery. The Lawrence Firm, P.S.C. annually donates to a student scholarship and to the advocacy track program at Salmon P. Chase College of Law. |
