Mr. Beirne is a life-long resident of Cincinnati. After a brief career representing tortfeasors and their insurance carriers he made the decision to represent individuals and their families. Mr. Beirne is most proud of his successfull representation children and their families devastated by medical negligence, defective medical equipment and dangerous medications. He has successfully tried or settled numerous cases involving medical malpractice or nursing negligence. He is fortunate to have co-counseled two of the largest medical malpractice awards in Ohio - a $22 million dollar verdict against Group Health Associates in Hamilton County in 2008; and a $31 million dollar verdict against Miami Valley Hospital in Montgomery County in 2009.

Mr. Beirne speaks and presents regularly on medical-legal issues for health care providers and attorneys. He has lectured and taught at area schools. He volunteers frequently for moot court competitions. Mr. Beirne lives in Mt. Lookout with his wife Beth and their four children. He volunteers for his parish and his community in many different ways and roles and participates in various community activities.
